Source objects are compared to their matching target objects
while ignoring their exact position in the scripts. This
also allows one to determine the actual differences between the
objects rather than doing a simple text comparison.

A syntax highlighting object browser can be used to view the
individual script operations that make up the SQL script being
compared.

Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and 2000 are supported. Unicode is
not fully supported (SQLMatcher Standard is able to read Unicode
files but it converts the text to the closest ANSI character during
conversion).

The SQLMatcher Standard download package is quite compact.
It can be downloaded and installed fairly quickly even over slow
dial-up lines.
